Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to our 2023-2024 school year! We are so excited to have you join us on this year’s adventure into learning and growing. Our theme for this year is: Cultivate Kindness and Sow Curiosity to Grow Community. Join us as we spread kindness this year and encourage our students to be curious; curious about learning, curious about the world around them, and curious about how they can make a difference.
We believe in supporting the whole child and family during their journey through elementary school. To this end, we will have many clubs available to students throughout the school year (for example Chess, Art, Robotics, and Gardening, to name a few). We will also have opportunities for leadership for our upper grade students. Additionally, you will see that we have several family events and parent workshops scheduled throughout the year. We are thrilled to have both our Social Emotional Learning Support Provider (who will be supporting teachers and students with lessons in the classroom) and an Elementary Counselor to meet with students individually and in groups.
We are happy to have continuous care for students before and after school, through the EXCEL program. The EXCEL program is currently accepting applications for their waitlist. We look forward to all that this program will offer for our kiddos.
As a staff we believe in lifelong learning. Staff members will be participating in trainings that increase engagement strategies in their classrooms and we will continue to work together to ensure that we meet the needs of all our children.
Come volunteer with us! Have you volunteered in LEUSD in the past? We have renewal packets available for you. Is this your first-time volunteering? ¡Bienvenidos a nuestro año escolar 2023-2024! Estamos muy emocionados de que se unan a nosotros en la aventura de este año de aprender y crecer. Nuestro tema para este año es: Cultiva la bondad y siembra la curiosidad para hacer crecer la comunidad. Únase a nosotros mientras difundimos la bondad este año y animamos a nuestros estudiantes a ser curiosos; curiosos por aprender, curiosos por el mundo que los rodea y curiosos por saber cómo pueden hacer la diferencia.
Creemos en apoyar al niño y la familia en su totalidad durante su paso por la escuela primaria. Con este fin, tendremos muchos clubes disponibles para los estudiantes durante el año escolar (por ejemplo, ajedrez, arte, robótica y jardinería, por nombrar algunos). También tendremos oportunidades de liderazgo para nuestros estudiantes de grados superiores. Además, verá que tenemos varios eventos familiares y talleres para padres programados durante todo el año. Estamos encantados de tener a nuestra Proveedora de Apoyo de Aprendizaje Socioemocional (que apoyará a los maestros y estudiantes con lecciones en el salón de clases) como a una Consejera de Primaria para reunirse con los estudiantes individualmente y en grupos.
Estamos felices de tener cuidado continuo para los estudiantes antes y después de la escuela, a través del programa EXCEL. El programa EXCEL actualmente está aceptando solicitudes para su lista de espera. Esperamos todo lo que este programa ofrecerá a nuestros niños.
Como personal, creemos en el aprendizaje permanente. Los miembros del personal participarán en capacitaciones que aumentan las estrategias de participación en sus aulas y continuaremos trabajando juntos para asegurarnos de satisfacer las necesidades de todos nuestros niños.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible dedication of our students, teachers, and parents in creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
